My career path has been anything but linear, taking me from the intricacies of EU Cohesion Policy to the diverse IT world of web commerce, digital identity, non-custodial wallets, and mobile app development.
Early Beginnings: Urban Renewal and EU Cohesion Funds
I started my career managing multiple projects with budgets from a couple of hundred thousand to several million euro projects focused on urban renewal and water management systems. This involved ensuring the successful allocation of EU Cohesion Funds, which aimed to reduce disparities between European regions and foster sustainable urban development. My work entailed GIS analysis, MS Access database management, and meticulous project documentation. I worked closely with stakeholders to advise on project proposals and evaluate investment documentation, ensuring that projects were aligned with EU priorities such as sustainable urban development and social cohesion.
Transition to Web and E-commerce
In 2019, I transitioned into the world of web and e-commerce project management. I worked with 30+ clients, honing my skills in business development, project planning, and stakeholder management. Delivering end-to-end solutions for B2C and B2B ventures allowed me to understand the importance of adaptability and innovation in project delivery. I worked with developers, facilitated workshops, managed kick-offs, and aligned stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution.
The Leap to Tech: Digital identity, FinTech
The real turning point came in 2021 when I joined GlobaliD first as a Scrum Master, and later as Director of Delivery. For four years, I immersed myself in the world of digital identity, non-custodial wallets, and mobile app development. I led multi-disciplined teams, navigating rapid company growth and radical restructurings. I oversaw the release of over 100 new features, ensuring alignment with strategic and operational goals. This experience was both challenging and incredibly rewarding, teaching me the value of continuous improvement and crisis management.
